17 dead in bus accident on Padma Setu road
Dhaka: A Dhaka-bound passenger bus met with an accident. It is reported that 17 people have died in the incident so far. The number of injured is more than 30. The death toll is expected to rise. It is learned that the bus left Khulna for Dhaka early on Sunday morning. Around 7:30 am, the bus driver lost control over the steering in Kutubpur area of ​​Shibchar upazila of Madaripur. The bus broke the railing of the highway before the Padma bridge and fell into the ditch. This caused the bus to twist and turn.
17 people have died in this incident so far. More than 30 passengers were hospitalized with serious injuries. It is not yet clear what caused the accident. However, it is believed that the bus driver was speeding. He suddenly lost control on the highway.
