Rajkot(Rajkot) from lumpy virus in the district(Lumpy Virus) The number of infected animals is constantly increasing. According to the official statistics of the Animal Husbandry Department, 1678 animals have been infected and 22 have died. Lumpy virus infection has spread in 276 villages of Rajkot district. So 49 teams of animal husbandry department are vaccinating cattle against lumpy virus. Mechanisms have been activated to protect cattle from lumpy virus.

Lumpy virus has created havoc in Saurashtra. At that time, seeing the threat of Lumpy virus in Rajkot, the herdsmen are worried. The animal husbandry department has been running after the death of 5 more animals due to lumpy virus. The total death toll of animals in Rajkot has reached 21.. while 1,174 animals have fallen ill in the city.

Animals are getting sick due to Lumpy virus, so the herdsmen are under tension. Now the concern of the cattle farmers about the effect of the virus on the milk income has increased.. Because, the milk production has also decreased significantly due to lumpy virus.

Earlier a cow or buffalo used to give 8 to 10 liters of milk per day. Now it is giving one to two liters of milk. As against the current average of 3.70 lakh liters per day, there has been a significant drop of 10 thousand liters in the last two to three days.
