75th anniversary of peacekeeping mission; United Nations announces honors for martyrs of Pakistan
New York (Daily Pakistan Online) The United Nations has announced honors for the martyrs of Pakistan.
According to the private TV channel Dunya News, a special ceremony was held in the General Assembly Hall on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the peace mission, 8 Pakistani martyrs who lost their lives during the peace mission were honored. Khan and Colonel Afzal Ahmed received martyrs’ medals.
During the stabilization mission in Congo, 6 soldiers were martyred in a helicopter accident, the martyrs include Lieutenant Colonel Asif Ali Awan, Major Faizan Ali, the martyrs include Major Saad Naumani, Naib Subedar Samiullah Khan, Havaldar Muhammad Ismail and Lance Havaldar Muhammad Jameel Khan.
