Web Desk: The federal government will decide in the next two weeks whether to allow more than a dozen international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) to operate in the country.
According to a report from the English newspaper, a special committee formed by the Minister of Interior Mohsin Naqvi on the issue of International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGO) was chaired re-register, or those whose contracts with the government have expired and have now requested a new contract renewal.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Secretaries of the Interior and Economic Affairs, the Director General of the Ministry of External Affairs and other officials The Minister of Interior said that the applications and related documents submitted by the organization must be reviewed in detail The scrutiny process will be completed in 15 days, the candidates will be informed in this regard.
The Minister of the Interior ordered international non-governmental organizations to cooperate with the Ministry of the Interior and submit the relevant documents on time.
It should be remembered that in 2015, the federal government introduced a policy to simplify and facilitate the work of international non-governmental organizations working in the country organizations (NGOs) that worked or wanted to work in Pakistan were also told to sign agreements with the Ministry of the Interior and to register.
