A magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck off the eastern coast of Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula.
According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), the earthquake occurred at a depth of 51 km off the east coast of Kamchatka.
So far, no loss of life or property has been reported due to the earthquake.
It should be noted that earlier on August 17, there was an earthquake at a depth of 51 kilometers in this area with a magnitude of 7.2.
