A man is hospitalized with serious injuries after being stabbed in the London, Ontario, downtown area Tuesday afternoon.
London police say emergency workers responded to a 9-1-1 call at approximately 2:30 a.m. reporting a stabbing. Police believe the victim was sitting in a car while waiting at a train crossing in the area of ​​Richmond and Piccadilly Streets.
According to police, an unidentified person entered the victim’s vehicle, stabbed him, and then fled.

Police say the incident appears to be random with no known motive, and a search of the area for a possible suspect turned up negative.
The suspect is described as a man with dark skin, wearing a black hat, black coat and jeans with black shoes and a white medical mask.
