A terrible accident took place this morning in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. A speeding Innova car crushed pedestrians on the Kalka-Simla national highway in Dharampur here. Five people have died in this accident. Two persons have been referred to PGI for further treatment. The other two injured are undergoing treatment in the district hospital. Police are further investigating the accident.
According to preliminary information, this incident happened at Dharampur on the Kalka-Simla highway. The accident happened around 10 o’clock on Tuesday. An Innova was speeding towards Shimla. In the meantime, the driver lost control at the turn. The car then crushed pedestrians passing by.
In this terrible accident, five people died on the spot. Four others were admitted to a nearby hospital. From there two seriously injured have been sent to PGI in Chandigarh for further treatment. Local police have reached the spot. The dead and injured have also been identified.
This morning some people were walking to Sukki Johdi in Dharampur, Solan. All the victims of the accident are migrant laborers and are residents of Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh and Chhapra in Bihar. The deceased have been identified as Guddu Yadav, Raja Verma, Nippu Nisad and Motilal Yadav and Sunny Deval.
