The NIA has raided offices of the Popular Front of India (PFI) across the country on allegations of involvement in terrorist activities. It also includes offices in Maharashtra. In this operation, around 16 people of PFI have been detained for questioning from Maharashtra. NIA with the help of ATS and local police took action in Mumbai, Pune, Navi Mumbai, Kolhapur, Aurangabad, Beed, Nanded, Parbhani etc.
NIA raided Ashraf Nagar at Survey No. 5 in Kondhwa area of Pune. CRPF jawans were also present on this occasion. This action was taken on Thursday (September 22) morning. Both were detained for questioning. Apart from this, four persons have been detained from Jinsi area of Aurangabad and four persons from Parbhani.
Four persons of PFI have been detained by NIA in Navi Mumbai
The National Investigation Department raided the Popular Front of India office at Nerul Sector 23 in Navi Mumbai early in the morning. It is being said that four people have been detained for questioning.
Popular Front of India, known as an extremist organization, has been banned by the Government of India. However, he has an office in Nerul Sector 23 Darave Village. The National Investigation Department raided the place and after 7 hours of investigation, 4 people have been detained. One of these persons is also said to be a resident of the same area.

Anti-terror squad raid in Malegaon, one arrested
Popular Front of India (PFI) leader Saifu Rahman has been detained in an operation conducted by the Anti-Terrorism Squad in the early hours of Thursday. The National Investigation Agency has launched raids at various places in the country on suspicion of involvement in terrorist activities. It was said that this action was taken because Saifu’s name appeared in it.
Police sources have confirmed the news that Saifu has been taken into custody, although the raids are being kept under wraps. It was said that Saifu is the Nashik district head of the religious organization ‘PFI’ and he is also handling the responsibility as the state office bearer of this organization.
