Web Desk: Security agencies have arrested the jail’s deputy superintendent for facilitating Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf founder president Imran Khan, who is lodged in Adiala jail.
According to sources, Deputy Superintendent Muhammad Akram is accused of facilitating PTI Imran Khan.
Sources said Deputy Superintendent Muhammad Akram was taken into custody for exceeding his authority.
Sources say investigations are underway with the deputy superintendent on behalf of the security agencies, the deputy superintendent is also accused of secretly sending messages to the PTI founder.
According to sources, IG Prisons Punjab has been informed by security agencies, departmental action will also be taken against Deputy Superintendent Muhammad Akram after investigation.
Sources say that Deputy Superintendent Adiala Jail Muhammad Akram has already been removed from the post.
It is to be noted that Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, is currently incarcerated in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
