CS Sameer Sharma filed an affidavit in the AP High Court on the construction of Amravati. On the third day of last month, the High Court gave a key verdict on the construction of Amravati. The affidavit also states that a plan has been prepared for the creation of longer infrastructure. During the last government, works worth Rs 41,678 crore were grounded. He said he had written a letter to the contractors on May 15 regarding the work. However, CS said it was working to pay the pending funds as per the agreement.
He said a meeting was arranged with the bankers last month for funding. So far, Rs 1,500 crore has been received from the Center. The details of funds received from other banks and institutions are also mentioned in the affidavit. Details of the expenditure incurred so far have also been submitted to the court. Included in the affidavit is an estimate of how much it will cost, as previously estimated. In the past, the entire project was estimated to cost Rs 9 lakh crore to complete. It was estimated that it would cost Rs 2 crore per acre to develop. The affidavit filed by CS states that the MLA, MLC residential building complex under construction will be completed by the end of this November.
CS Sameer Sharma said it would take two months for the contracting agencies to extend the deadline. He said it would take four months to survey the designs of the structures and two months to bring in the machinery and labor. In total, it will take 8 months for the works to start. According to the affidavit submitted by CS, the construction of roads will take 16 months and the construction of other infrastructure will take 36 months. In total, it will take five years to complete the works as per the Amravati Master Plan.
On the other hand, the Andhra Pradesh government wants to give due time to comply with the High Court orders. The affidavit submitted to the High Court also included CRDA Seed Capital and CRDA Capital Region Master Plan. Details on defects in land consolidation and cases are provided.
