Another student committed suicide in Kota, wrote- Mom-Dad, I can’t do JEE, please forgive me.

Shakti Singh/Kota: Another student committed suicide in Kota. He is preparing for the JEE Mains exam. The deceased student was a resident of Borkheda. The deceased student’s JEE Mains exam will be held on January 31. It is said that he took this step due to depression in his studies.

A 12th class student committed suicide on the premises of Borkheda police station in Education town of Kota. 18 year old Niharika is a resident of Shiv Mandir, 120 feet road, Borkheda. He was hanging in his room this morning. Upon learning of this, the family members took him to MBS Hospital, where the duty doctor examined him and declared him dead. Niharika has JEE Mains exam on 30th January. Family members said that he committed suicide due to study depression.

The student wrote in the alleged suicide note, “Mommy and Dad, I cannot do JEE, that is why I am committing suicide. I’m the worst daughter, sorry mom and dad.”

Grandma knocked on the door and found the girl hanging.
Cousin Vikram told that Niharika is the eldest of three siblings. Dad was a bank gunman. Niharika was studying in her room on the second floor. Other members of the family were downstairs, around 10 in the morning grandma knocked on the room but Niharika did not open the gate. Grandma shouted and called everyone. When we reached the place, we saw that Niharika had hanged herself from the skylight above the gate.

Vikram tells that Niharika is good in studies. His marks were less than past 12th. He did the 12th again. He is also preparing for JEE. His JEE Mains exam is on 30th January. He was very stressed about the exam.

On January 23, a student preparing for NEET committed suicide. The deceased’s name is Mohammad Zaid, he is a resident of Moradabad, UP. Mohammad Zaid is preparing for NEET with private coaching. The police found no suicide note on the deceased Mohammad Jait.

29 students committed suicide in 2023
Cases of students committing suicide due to depression are on the rise in Education Kota. However, to combat this, the local administration organized programs to guide and encourage students. In the year 2023, 29 students took measures such as suicide.
