Arrested | Auto theft mechanic arrested
Nagpur, A team of crime branch arrested the mechanic who had stolen the vehicle on the basis of confidential information. The stolen vehicle was also seized from him. The arrested accused was identified as Salman Dilawar Khan Pathan (24), a resident of IBM Road. He is basically a resident of Ashti in Wardha district and runs a two wheeler garage near Mankapur Chowk. On the evening of 20 February, Yasmin Qadir Khan (33) had parked her vehicle at Mangalwari Complex.
Unknown accused stole the vehicle. Sadar police had registered a case against the unknown accused. Unit 2 of Crime Branch got information that a mechanic named Salman has been active in vehicle theft incidents for some time and is looking for a customer for 1 vehicle. As soon as the news was received, the police arrested him.
On enquiry, he confessed to stealing the vehicle from Mangalwari Complex. The stolen vehicle was seized from him and handed over to Sadar police for further investigation. Inspector Rahul Shire, API Tushar Kalel, Gajanan Chambhare, Head Constable Ramnaresh Yadav, Santosh Singh Thakur, Sheshrao Raut, Nitesh Ingle, Gajanan Kubde and Praveen Chavan carried out the action.
