Amnesty India has demanded the withdrawal of ban on hijab in Karnataka. Regarding this, Priyank said, “Our stand is very clear. We will review such orders. We will review every bill that is against Karnataka’s economic policies. Every bill will be considered, due to which the bad image of the state is being eroded. If necessary, such a bill will be rejected.” Notably, the decision to ban the wearing of hijab in educational institutions in Karnataka was taken by the previous BJP government.
