Kolhapur: The house of social activist Vijay Singh Desai at Phulewadi Ring Road in the city was attacked by three unidentified persons at midnight. The assailants tried to terrorize Desai by smashing the window and tree trunks of his house. It is clear from the CCTV footage that the unidentified accused was wearing dhudgus for 15 to 20 minutes. Police personnel of Karveer and Old Rajwada police stations rushed to the spot late at night after getting information about the incident. Police have arrested a suspect in the case.

The three unidentified assailants were attacking Desai’s house when the citizens came out and saw him.

Citizens immediately reported the matter to the police. The assailants also vandalized the grocery store at Bhogam Park, smashing windows and doors. As soon as we got information about this incident, a team from Karivaram and Old Rajwada Police Station reached the spot. Police have arrested a suspect and further investigation is underway.
