Big reshuffle in Congress, Sukhjinder Randhawa appointed in charge of Rajasthan
The Congress on Monday appointed former Union Minister Kumari Selja as the party’s general secretary and Chhattisgarh chief. Congress has made former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa the party in-charge of Rajasthan.
Rajya Sabha member Shakit Singh Gohil has been appointed as the party in-charge of Haryana. Former president of Haryana Pradesh Committee Selja has been made in-charge of Chhattisgarh in place of PL Punia. Randhawa has been made the Rajasthan Prabhari in place of Ajay Makan.
Keeping the party together in Rajasthan will be very challenging for Randhawa, given the clash between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot.
According to the report, this position given by the Congress High Command to Kumari Selja before Rahul Gandhi’s Padyatra in Haryana is being considered politically important.
Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Joko Yatra will enter Haryana from Rajasthan on December 21. Apart from this, assembly elections are also going to be held in Chhattisgarh next year. Kumari Selja will play an important role in Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha. Let it be known that Kumari Selja has also been the chairperson of the screening committee of Congress in Rajasthan.
