Bike rider dies after hitting flyover curb at Nalstop Chowk Pune
Pune : The incident of the death of a two-wheeler rider after hitting the ledge of the flyover in Nalstop Chowk took place around 3.30 pm on Friday. Traffic on the flyover was disrupted for some time after the accident. The name of the deceased has been identified as Sangameshwar Siddharam Sakhre (age 28, resident of Solapur). The two-wheeler Sakhre was going to Paudaphata Chowk from the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Flyover at Nalstop Chowk.
At that time, the speeding bike rider Sugar lost control and the bike hit the flyover embankment. Sugar suffered serious head injuries in the accident. Deccan police rushed to the spot after getting information about the incident. Sakher was seriously injured and was immediately admitted to the hospital. He died before treatment. Meanwhile, traffic on the flyover was closed for some time after the accident. Due to this, the traffic in this area was disrupted.

First serious accident on a nullstop flyover
After the construction of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee flyover at Nalstop Chowk, the citizens had alleged that the bridge was constructed incorrectly. There were complaints from the citizens that there was a problem while going to Poudphata after coming down from the bridge. After that, the authorities inspected the bridge. This is the first serious accident after the bridge was opened for traffic.
