BRS appeases ex-minister’s sneezes… Will KCR give assurance?– News18 Telugu
After the announcement of the BRS candidates, many leaders of the party began to be dissatisfied. Former Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, who was hoping for a ticket from Paleru, was shown a stubborn hand by the BRS leadership.. His followers are deeply dissatisfied. On the other hand, there are reports that Thummala is also impatient to be sidelined. BRS leadership stepped in to appease him. MP Nama Nageswara Rao met Khammam senior leader and former minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Wednesday. Even if he doesn’t get a ticket.. Nama explained to Tummalak that KCR had promised him a suitable place in the future. Tummala ticket is expected from Paleru Assembly Constituency.
But that ticket was allocated to Kandala Upender Reddy by the administration. With this the followers of Tummala raised their voice of disagreement. They gathered all yesterday and prepared to instruct Tumma to leave the party. On the other hand, it seems that Thummala is very unhappy about not getting a ticket. He claims that he is looking towards Congress. With this, BRS chief KCR ordered Nama Nageswara Rao to discuss with Thumma. Their meeting was held today in this order. On the other hand, it is reported that the leadership suggested that leaders like Thummala should discuss with some others.
Tummala Nageswara Rao’s political career started with TDP. He won the elections in 1985, 1994, 1999 and 2009. He lost the 2014 post-partition elections. After that he joined BRS. The minister took charge. Since then Paleru has been running politics at the center. In 2016, Tummala Nageswara Rao won the by-election after the death of Paleru Congress MLA Ram Reddy Venkata Reddy.
But in the 2018 assembly elections, he again faced political difficulties as he contested as a BRS candidate from the Paleru assembly seat and lost. This time he expected ticket from Paleru, but KCR gave opportunity to sitting MLAs. In this background, BRS has started efforts to appease the disgruntled sneezes.
