New Delhi: The counting of votes for the by-elections to the Legislative Assemblies of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Jharkhand is underway. Maharashtra: In Maharashtra, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) workers celebrate in Pune as official Election Commission trends show Congress candidate Dhangekar Ravindra Hemraj leading in the Kasba Peth assembly bypoll. On the other hand, BJP candidates are leading in Chinchwad. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Ashwini Jagtap has taken lead in Chinchwad seat.

Jharkhand: AJSU candidate Sunita Chowdhary is leading from Ramgarh assembly seat in the initial trends in Jharkhand elections. All Jharkhand Students’ Union (AJSU) party candidate Sunita Chowdhary is leading over her nearest Congress rival Bajrang Mahto after the first round of counting for the Ramgarh assembly seat in Jharkhand on Thursday.
