The Election Commission has suggested to the central government that to prevent the irregularities caused by holding the postal ballots for a long time, they should vote in a separate center reserved for them.
If this is implemented, the irregularities caused by keeping the postal ballots for a long time will be prevented. Sources of the Election Commission said that through this, threats and harassment by candidates or political parties will be removed.
In this regard, last Sep. A meeting was held on 16th under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar. At that time, a decision will be taken to recommend this to the Union Law Minister
Henceforth, those engaged in election work will have to vote only in the separate polling center allocated for them. The Election Commission has recommended the government to amend the Election Conduct Rules, 1961, 18 for this.
