Guwahati: A case has been registered against a man from Maharashtra for allegedly getting twin sisters married together in a ceremony whose video went viral.
The incident took place on Friday, December 2 in Malshiras tehsil of Solapur district. The groom, Atul Uttam Autade, has been booked for a non-cognizable offense under section 494 of the Indian Penal Code, which punishes remarriage during the lifetime of the spouse. , In this regard, on the basis of the complaint lodged by local resident Rahul Bharat, the police has started investigation.
According to a Hindustan Times report, 36-year-old twin sisters Rinke and Pinky Padgaonkar are residents of Chandivali West in Mumbai.
