On January 26, the Horticulture Department organized a flower show in Lalbagh on the occasion of Republic Day. The flower show will be held for 10 days from today till January 30.

Speaking after the inauguration, he said, “Today I inaugurated 213 Plover Show with great joy. This time’s flower show has turned out very well. Lakhs of people visit this flower show every year. This time 10 to 15 lakh people will come. The horticulture department has made all kinds of preparations to handle the crowd. The horticultural fruit and flower show is unique in showing how much our state’s wealth is, how special and vast it is. We are allocating funds to increase the greening of horticulture in the city. In this year’s budget, we have earmarked 100 crores for increasing greening. We will do greening in hilly areas.

We will do a special program for horticulture farm development. Not only greening in horticulture but also production will increase. Bangalore is known as Garden City. In recent times the development of the Garden City has slowed down. From now on we will develop gardens as per the name of Garden City. We develop gardens and horticulture gardens under BBMP. May the fruit and flower show be successful this time, he said.

The history of Bangalore will blossom in the Lalbagh fruit and flower show

On January 26, the Horticulture Department organized a flower show in Lalbagh on the occasion of Republic Day. The flower show will be held for 10 days from today till January 30. This time, the history of Bangalore will be told through flowers in the flower show. About Bangalore’s 1500-year-old history, pre-independence & post-independence history of Bangalore is displayed through different types of flowers of the country. School children coming to the flower show are allowed free entry and this time there is a possibility that 15-20 lakh people will join the flower show.

This time there is a total of 112 flower domes, and 69 species of flowers from 11 countries including Holland, Colombia, Israel, Chile, Netherlands, Belgium, Kenya, Australia, Ethiopia are being displayed. The main attraction this time is the orchids flower of Simbadi of Darjeeling. Still 6 lakh flower pots are being displayed by the horticulture department.

Adults are fixed at Rs 70 on normal days and Rs 75 on Raja days. Still Rs 30 is fixed for children below 12 years on all days. Ticket counters and parking arrangements have been made at all the four gates for the convenience of the public.
