CM Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurates kitchen of Akshay Patra Foundation in Jorhat – News18 Assam

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated 65 central kitchens of Akshaya Patra Foundation today. This kitchen was inaugurated to coincide with the 125th birth anniversary of ISKCON’s founder, Swami Srila Prabhupada. Not only do kitchens start well, but sometimes they play the role of cooks in the chief minister’s kitchen. At the end of the cooking, little by little, the children distributed the food to the Chief Minister. Not only that, Chief Minister Sharma was overwhelmed by taking food in the presence of a group of students.

It should be noted that there is a Rashtrajuri Biopi on the role of Dishat Akshay Patra Foundation for the implementation of Mid Day Meal. Through this central kitchen, in the first instance, 157 students of 12,000 schools will be provided with two meals a day. A plan has been made to provide food to 30,000 students twice a day through this kitchen. A plan to set up kitchens in Assam and 9 places in Majuli has been proposed.

Today’s event is attended by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma, Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu, MLA Hitendranath Goswami, Bhendranath Bharali, Rupajyoti Kurmi, Akshay Patra Foundation’s Keibagaraki and many dignitaries are present.
