Meghalaya: Congress election manifesto released with action plans
Shillong: Election manifesto was released today by the Congress party ahead of the assembly elections to be held in Meghalaya.
As the assembly elections are going to be held on February 27, in the election manifesto released by the Congress, it has been promised that if the head of the family living below the poverty line is a woman, a monthly assistance of 3,000 will be given.
Through this, it will give a new opportunity to women who are struggling to raise children alone, and through this, they will get Rs. 36,000 per year. Single women are often uneducated and live in poverty, making it difficult for them to find good jobs.
Child marriage and early childbearing are also high in Meghalaya.
Also, it has been informed that one member of the family will be guaranteed a government job.
Due to lack of job creation in Meghalaya, youth of the state migrates to cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata. Therefore, our goal is to provide employment to one person in every household in Meghalaya.
It has also been informed that uninterrupted power supply will be ensured to homes and shops in the state of Meghalaya.
