Kolkata : The BJP is the opposition party in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. Although Naushad Siddiqui is an MLA from IAS but there is BJP in the opposition. The most important thing here is that in the last assembly elections, no member of the Congress had reached the assembly, because the Congress could not win even 1 seat in the assembly elections, but finally the Congress stepped into the assembly. Byron Biswas, a representative of the Left-backed Congress, won the by-election. In such a situation, after about one and a half years of the assembly elections, a seat was fixed for the Congress.

Expressing happiness over the victory, the winning candidate Byron Biswas said that Congress has won one seat now, we will do better in the coming elections. From 1 seat there will be 100 seats.
Special enthusiasm is being seen from Congress leaders to workers and supporters. The main reason for this is also that Panchayat elections are to be held in the state in the next 1-2 months and before that the opening of Congress’s account is considered a big achievement by the party. The bypoll to the seat was seen as a battle of prestige for state Congress president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary as it comes under his home constituency of Murshidabad.

Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury lashed out at the ruling Trinamool Congress and BJP in the state and said that these people have betrayed the Muslims. He alleged that in Murshidabad, the TMC with the help of the police committed atrocities on the people. How many times Congress was defeated by luring the public. Then I had said that Congress is not going to lose and today it has been proved that Congress is not going to lose, it is the party to defeat.

Congress leader Pradeep Bhattacharya termed this victory as a great achievement and said that this is only a beginning and this victory is important because the people of Sagardighi have rejected Trinamool because they have come to know that corruption is increasing here.
