No one was injured and no structures were burned, but a fire at a scrap yard Friday night destroyed several parts of the car.
RM of Springfield Fire Chief Brian Seaton told Global News the fire broke out at Brunswick Steel on Springfield Road just before 6pm and crews were expected to remain on the scene through the night.
He says it’s too early to say what may have caused the fire, and he admits we may never know, but said heat may have played a factor.
Global News spoke to Seaton just after 8 p.m., and he says crews had not yet reached the hotspot because there was so much debris.
