Cross Route Club tour from Pakistan to Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: A group of 25 Pakistani bikers belonging to the Cross Route Club in Pakistan visited the Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi on 20-1-2023. Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi welcomed the group to the embassy and hosted a lunch in their honour. The group started their bike ride on 6 January 2023 from Lahore.
The group is going to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah. The group reached the UAE from Iran and is on its way to Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq and Iran, covering a distance of 14,000 km, before returning to Pakistan.
Mukarram Tareen, leader of the bikers group, said that passing through the brotherly Islamic countries would boost the positive image of Pakistan, its rich cultural heritage, pristine natural beauty and the warm hospitality of the Pakistani people.
Ambassador Tirmizi in his remarks appreciated the initiative of the bikers for the promotion of Pakistan in various regional countries and said that such tours should be organized more frequently from Pakistan. The event concluded with a tree plantation ceremony by Mukarram Tareen at the Embassy of Pakistan, Abu Dhabi.
