Current heat wave and government measures

Hazrat Ali, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was asked the reason. Hazrat Ali replied: “A sense of responsibility”, the more a person has a sense of responsibility, the more valuable he will be. How much has he realized his national responsibility and how serious is he in solving the problems he is facing? The present government faces a number of challenges, including the protection of the lives of the people by ensuring that all possible measures are taken to deal with the situation arising from the heatstroke caused by global warming and increasing pollution. Climate change has increased the heat wave since the beginning of spring this year, glaciers are melting faster due to rising temperatures and increasing environmental degradation has emerged as a threat to the country. Over the past two decades, the country has experienced more than 150 seasonal events. The United Nations has listed Pakistan as one of the 23 countries most affected by drought and the ten countries most affected by climate change. The heat wave will affect agriculture in Sindh. The effects of the heat wave will be felt on human lives. The heatwave also affected crops across the country. The scorching heat also damaged cane and mango crops. Cattle are also dying due to water shortage in Cholistan. To deal with this dire situation, the present government is working with all stakeholders to ensure concerted and effective measures, taking practical steps to ensure that the current heat wave and global warming in the country Ensure emergency measures in view of Federal Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman told a press conference in view of the current situation that the Prime Minister has formed a National Task Force to intensify disaster management efforts to deal with the current heatwave and GLOF incidents. It will keep a close watch on the current situation, ensure measures under a coordinated and effective strategy. The people should take precautionary measures. He said that there is a risk of flood in monsoon this year, floods occur in Pakistan every year due to rains and in the current climatic context this risk has already increased, for which all possible measures are being taken. We have set up more than one thousand heatwave centers in Sindh and Punjab. The heatwave will have a serious impact on the people. The Meteorological Department has hinted at a heatwave till June. The ministry is also issuing advisory to the provinces in this regard. Awareness is important The Meteorological Department is releasing the latest weather updates and advisory. The department will keep the public informed of the latest situation. In the wake of the recent high temperature in different parts of the country, on the directive of Federal Minister for Health Abdul Qadir Patel, the National Institutes of Health has issued advisory for guidance on heatstroke. According to the advisory, heatstroke is a medical condition which can be fatal if not treated in a timely manner. Its symptoms include hot and dry. These include skin rash, weakness or lethargy, fever, headache, and rapid heartbeat. Heatstroke, if not treated properly, can lead to death, limb damage or disability. Infants, people over 65, diabetes and high blood pressure Patients, athletes and outdoor workers are at higher risk of heatstroke. The advisory also emphasizes the following precautions.
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight in places with high temperatures. Cover your head with a hat and wear light colored loose clothing. People working in direct sunlight should consume plenty of water / beverage. The advisory instructs educational institutions / schools to take appropriate steps to minimize the effects of extreme heat on students. Children and young people are more prone to heat and therefore schools should take steps to prepare and manage the hazards associated with extremely hot weather, providing cool indoor space to protect students from heatstroke in extreme hot weather Use artificial shading canopies, tents, seals, umbrellas to provide shade to outdoor playgrounds Increase the number of water coolers Increase access to drinking water Access to drinking water to keep students hydrated To be added. When electric fans are in working condition, patients with high blood pressure, athletes and outdoor workers are at higher risk of heatstroke. I think the government has a role to play in the International Convention on Climate Change, which needs to be accelerated. The government is aware of its responsibilities. I think there is an urgent need for environmentally friendly policies and public awareness in this regard. We must protect our wildlife and aquatic life. The teaching of environmental protection must be made compulsory in educational institutions, their cities must be prevented from becoming concrete jungles, as a result of which forests and wildlife are rapidly declining. Clean energy and clean energy must be promoted and practical steps must be taken in this regard. Cities need to take practical steps to regulate carbon emissions. The present government, in collaboration with all stakeholders and concerned agencies, is working to implement special measures to deal with this heat wave. Just as the government has taken precautionary measures to deal with the corona virus outbreak. Just as Pakistan has achieved success in this war against the corona virus, let us all together prove that we are a good and responsible citizen. Follow the guidelines of the government and relevant agencies. We all have to show a sense of responsibility and prove that we are a civilized and responsible citizen.
