With the rains, cases of dengue and malaria have started increasing again in Jaipur. An average of 11 cases are being reported daily in Jaipur. At the same time, patients from other districts are also reaching Jaipur, hence the number of patients in hospitals has started increasing continuously.
According to government figures, more than 125 new dengue patients are reaching hospitals every day in Rajasthan. The situation is such that in view of the rush of patients, small and big private hospital operators have refused to admit patients in RGHS (Rajasthan Government Health Scheme) and Chiranjeevi Health Scheme.
There are many private hospitals in Jaipur which have stopped admitting dengue patients under the government health scheme in referral cases. Patients coming at night are being sent back on the pretext of not having beds or their condition being worse. Here, due to the increasing number of patients, the demand for platelets has increased in blood banks also. Now its crisis has started deepening.
According to the report of Jaipur Health Department, on an average only 11 cases of dengue are being reported in Jaipur every day. Earlier in August, on an average, more than 21 cases were being reported in Jaipur every day. Now due to patients coming from other districts, the number of patients in the hospital is increasing.
More than 1700 cases in 15 days
If we look at the report released from the Medical Health Department, till September 1, there were a total of 2830 cases of dengue in the state, which increased to more than 4674 by September 15. Apart from these districts, Tonk, Sikar, Pratapgarh, Pali, Nagaur, Hanumangarh, Dungarpur, Bundi, Barmer, Ajmer and Alwar are the districts where dengue cases have increased very rapidly in the last 15 days.
