Bangladesh’s interim government has decided to cancel the diplomatic passports of Sheikh Hasina, former ministers and members of parliament.
Indian media quoted a senior official of the Ministry of Interior of Bangladesh as saying that because these people no longer have official positions. Therefore, the interim government decided to revoke his diplomatic passport, which was initiated.
The senior official added that the Ministry of Home Affairs has not yet issued any formal notification to the Department of Immigration and Passport on the matter, only issuing verbal instructions, written instructions can be sent to the department today.
Following the anti-government protests in Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina Wajid resigned on August 5 and stayed in India.
