The High Court said that deliberate refusal of a spouse to have sexual relations is cruelty. Making this comment, the court upheld the divorce order given to a couple from the family court. Their marriage lasted only 35 days. In another case, the High Court, while hearing the petition of an inter-religious couple, said that the selection of life partner cannot be influenced by faith and religion.
