Delhi Excise Policy case.. Kejriwal’s name in ED charge sheet

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s name has been included in the fourth supplementary chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case. However.. not as an accused. The ED officials included Kejriwal’s name in the charge sheet with the testimony of approver Dinesh Arora, who became an accused in the Delhi liquor scam case. Sanjay Singh’s name was also included in the charge sheet.

The ED said that Dinesh Arora gave Rs 82 lakh to former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia for the Delhi Assembly elections to be held in 2025. ED officials stated in the charge sheet that initially Dinesh Arora met Sanjay Singh and through him Manish Sisodia was introduced during a party at his restaurant ‘Unplugged Courtyard’. In the chargesheet, the ED officials explained that Arora said that she had spoken to Sisodia five or six times and met Sanjay Singh and Kejriwal once at his residence.

The ED officials mentioned in the charge sheet that Arora said that she also met AAP’s Vijay Nair at his restaurant where they took cell phone numbers.

ED officials claimed that Arora called Vijay Nair to a meeting arranged at the Oberoi Hotel in Civil Lines to discuss the Delhi Excise Policy in the month of April, 2021. She informs that Nair also invited Arora to Gauri’s apartment. So far ED has filed one main charge sheet and four supplementary charge sheets in this case.
