Nabarangpur: An officer working in the office of District Education Officer in Nabarangpur district was arrested by Vigilance on Thursday while taking bribe.
A complaint was lodged with Vigilance that accountant-cum-programmer Bikash Sana in the office of District Education Officer, Nabarangpur, was demanding a bribe of Rs one lakh for processing the transportation bills of rice to be distributed in schools for mid-day meal. Anti-corruption agency officials confiscated the entire bribe amount from Sana’s possession. Following the forgery, the vigilance officers began searching a rented house in Sana’s Nabarangpur and his house in Umarkot.
