Davanagere. Mar. 3; Davanagere Mahanagara Corporation Water Supply and Guards Outsourcing Workers’ Association President N. Neelagiriappa insisted. All contract urban local body workers should be paid under direct payment till we are permanent. According to the Supreme Court judgment, all workers should be paid equal wages for equal work. The contractor shall collect the P.F. and E.S.I. There have been scams in many places where dues were not paid properly. To prevent this, he demanded that the original owners, the local bodies, should manage it. As the outsourced water supply workers of all urban local bodies are living on meager wages, they demanded that all should be given free land under the government’s Grihabhagya scheme. Anil Kumar, Radhakrishna, Gutyappa, Rajinikanth, Ajjaiah and others were present at the press conference.
