Why did ED give notice to DK Shivakumar, CBI notice to DK’s daughter?
DK Sivakumar is accused of illegal asset acquisition during 2013-18. The CBI mentioned in the FIR that the assets were Rs 74 crore more than the income. He had declared assets of Rs 33.92 crore in the 2013 election affidavit and Rs 128 crore in the 2018 election affidavit.
DK Shivakumar’s daughter Aishwarya was also found to have hundreds of crores worth of property. He misused his power as a minister and gained wealth illegally. 44.93% of the property was acquired illegally, the CBI chargesheet mentioned. Not only that, the CBI has been conducting serial raids on DK Shivakumar and his associates for 2 years, and it was said that the property was acquired through agriculture.
