The country’s foreign exchange reserves increased by about $810 million in the four weeks of August.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), national foreign exchange reserves increased by 108.9 million dollars in the business week ended August 23 this year.

The reserves of the State Bank increased from 11.16 million dollars to 9.40 billion dollars, while the reserves of commercial banks decreased from 2.3 million dollars to 5.37 billion dollars.

According to data from the State Bank, foreign exchange reserves at the end of July were 13 billion 960 million dollars, which increased from 810 million dollars to 14 billion 77 million dollars as of August 23.
