Father and daughter killed in firing in Korangi

A father and daughter were killed in firing near Korangi Chamra Chowrangi area of Karachi.
Police say that the girl was identified as two-year-old Anam and her father as Tahir. 8 shells of 30 bore pistol were found from the place of firing, a motorcycle was also found from the spot.
Officials say whether the incident is a robbery or something else being investigated, there is no immediate word on the nature of the incident.
Police spokesman says that Inspector General Sindh Rafat Mukhtar asked for details from Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Korangi.
Speaking to the media, Station House Officer (SHO) Korangi Industrial Area Inspector Obaidullah said that the citizen was with his wife and two children at the time of the shooting.
He said that the victim’s wife could not be spoken to, the investigation into the shooting is ongoing, the victim’s wife and son were safe in the incident.
Inspector Ubaidullah said that according to the guard of the company security, there was a fight, during which firing took place.
Speaking to the media at Jinnah Hospital, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Korangi said that two motorcycle-riding accused opened fire.
On the other hand, Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori has asked Additional IG Karachi for a report on the incident.
Governor Sindh has directed to arrest the accused involved in the incident as soon as possible.
