Fawad says Saudi Arabia, US refuse to support PML-N government
PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry has said that Saudi Arabia, the United States and other countries have refused to support the current government.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, he also said that there is a serious leadership crisis in the country as key posts, including the governor of Punjab and the governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, were left vacant by the present government.
He said that the rupee had fallen by Rs 15 against the US dollar in the last nine days, the stock market was falling.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the government thought he would get money from Saudi Arabia and the United States, but since the world traditionally cares about the public’s reaction and saw that people were standing behind Imran Khan, he supported the government. refused to do.
On the contrary, he supported Imran Khan when he went to Saudi Arabia, China and other countries, he said.
The former information minister said the current government had entered into the most expensive LNG contracts and foreign exchange reserves were rapidly depleting but there was no SPB governor to control the situation.
“Punjab where 66% of the country’s population lives, there is no government,” he said, adding that there is no water for kharif crops and the price of DAP has gone up by Rs 500 or Rs 700 in the past few weeks.
Fawad claimed that there was no crisis in Pakistan and there was stability in the country after the removal of the Imran Khan government.
He said that PTI feared that the current rulers would turn Pakistan into Sri Lanka. “Even our worst adversaries are saying that the only way forward is to make a fresh election.”
He said that this situation has led to an administrative crisis in addition to the already existing political crisis.
Speaking about PTI’s rally in Sialkot, Fawad Chaudhry said that it was wrong to claim that PTI was rallying on land owned by Presbyterian Church and PTI’s MNA Sunila Ruth would testify to it.
He claimed that PML-N’s Khwaja Asif had held a rally at the same spot four weeks ago, while under the previous PML-N government, Rana Sanaullah had occupied the church land and made illegal settlements there.
He said that the current government used the religion card against the opposition after the Masjid-e-Nabwi incident and again used the religion card in Sialkot.
He said arrest cannot stop PTI’s agitation and fresh elections were the only way.
Ismail gave fire warning
Former Sindh governor Imran Ismail warned that the party would not spare anyone if the government disrupted any of the PTI rallies.
He said that at a behest of Imran Khan, fire will be set everywhere, but the PTI chief is exercising restraint.
Ismail said those who supported the PML-N were regretting their decision and there was a split in the PML-N as Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz had supported early elections.
