Five people died of suffocation in a well in Rawat area of Rawalpindi.
According to ARY News report, a man descended into the well to clean the well in Thatta village of Rawat area.
Seven people who went down to evacuate the victim also fainted. As soon as the incident was reported, rescue team and police officials rushed to the spot.
Rescue officials rescued all the people but five people died of suffocation while three others were rescued. The bodies and injured have been shifted to the hospital, where the condition of the survivors is also critical.
Rawat police have launched an investigation into the incident.

It may be recalled that a gas explosion in Lyari area of Karachi last year killed one person and injured seven others, including a woman and children.
