For Pakistan to join the top 10 economies of the world, negative voices must be silenced, Ahsan Iqbal

The Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal said that in 2047, Pakistan will join the top 10 economies of the world, but to achieve this goal, negative voices must be silenced.

According to the Tribune report, he spoke at the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) conference held by the Ministry of Planning about the national development agenda and said that development is only possible through the implementation of the SDGs. He said that it will also be considered that Pakistan’s budget will be aligned with the SDGS.

Ahsan said that the natural resources were abused by the industrial revolution, Pakistan is one of the 10 countries affected by climate change.

The minister said that the members of the parliament have a very important role regarding the sustainable development goals and the task of distribution of resources is done by the parliament.

He said that the private sector has an important role in achieving the SDGS and the media should help spread awareness about the SDGS to the public.
