Lahore (From our correspondent) For the first time in the history of the judiciary headed by Chief Justice Lahore High Court Mr. Justice Muhammad Amir Bhatti, the record of all pending cases in the district judiciary was made online. Chief Justice Muhammad Amir Bhatti has inaugurated pilot project of case management system mobile app and record room management system in Lahore district judiciary. On this occasion, Lahore High Court Administrative Judge for IT, Justice Shujaat Ali Khan, District and Sessions Judge Lahore Habibullah Amir, DG Judicial and Case Management Shazib Saeed, Additional Registrar Sahir Islam, Additional Sessions Judge Mudassar Umar Budla, Civil Judge Danish Mukhtar and other judicial officers, President Lahore Bar Association Rao Sami and Secretary Ammar Yasir Khokhar were also present. Chief Justice Lahore High Court Muhammad Amir Bhatti said that case management system mobile app (CMS) has been launched in district judiciary, while pilot project of record management system is being launched in district judiciary of Lahore, later record management system ( RMS) will also be implemented in district courts across the province. The Record Management System (RMS) is integrated with the Case Management System. Public service delivery is a source of pride for us. The use of information technology is an important requirement of time to ensure transparency in the judiciary. He said that Justice Shujaat Ali Khan and our IT team have done a great job. He congratulated. “It is gratifying for us that our judiciary is rapidly moving towards digitalisation,” he said. The record of all 1.3 million cases of district judiciary of Punjab has been made online. Information related to not only pending cases but also decided cases will be made available to the public and lawyers online, which will help make the process of delivery of justice transparent and expeditious. Speaking at the inaugural function, Justice Shujaat Ali Khan said that the institutions could not remain static, it was necessary to remain active to move forward. Case files are sorted by category, which will help control records from the record management system. The use of modern information technology will be an important milestone in the delivery of speedy and quality justice. Lahore District and Sessions Judge Habibullah Amir said that information could be obtained from Case Management System and Record Management System with one click. Access to case information from the CMS mobile application will be readily available to all citizens on Android Mobile. With the RMS system, all the details of their decided cases will be available online to all the sailans and work has started on the RMS system in Lahore as a model district.
