Four cyclists in Jamnagar went to participate in an event being held in Paris – News18 Gujarati Pipa News

Jamnagar: In the last few years there has been a lot of awareness among people about bicycles in Jamnagar. As a result, a cycle club has started in Jamnagar. In this bicycle club, the citizens of the city gather at one place early in the morning and leave with bicycles. Not only that, they are also participating in various bicycle competitions held around the world. One such event was held in Paris which is held every four years. Four cyclists from Jamnagar have gone to Paris to participate in this competition.

The Paris Breast Paris competition is held every four years

In the year 1891, a bicycle race called PBP i.e. Paris Breast Paris was started. After that, this competition is held every four years. A total of 8 thousand contestants from around the world participated in this year’s competition, including four contestants Ankur Khanna, Manoj Nair, Shyam Sundar and Manu Chacko from Jamnagar. Out of these four competitors, Shyam Sundar and Manu Chacko completed the competition in 87 hours.

The 1,250 km long cycle race is very tough. Cyclists from all over the world participate in this competition. This competition has to be completed in 90 hours. This route consists of uphill and downhill roads. Crossing which requires hard work in which the youth of Jamnagar have also joined.
