G-20: Air Force will protect Delhi with mrsam, Rafale and counter-drone systems; Know what preparations were done – G-20 Summit: IAF Awacs, Fighter Jets, Air Defense Missiles To Be On High Alert To Protect Delhi Air Space
India will host the G-20 summit in the capital Delhi next month. Leaders of G20 countries will participate in this conference. Preparations are being finalized for this summit to be held at Pragati Maidan in Delhi on 9th and 10th of next month. Strong security arrangements have also been made for this. Delhi will be converted into a fort for these two days. Not only this, the Indian Air Force will also deploy new air defense missile systems as well as keep its air warning systems, fighter aircraft including Rafale on high alert.
Counter-drone system will also strengthen security
Defense sources have given information in this regard. He said that the Air Force will protect the Delhi airspace to provide security to this meeting. The Indian Air Force is also deploying air defense missiles as well as counter-drone systems in the national capital to protect against any possible aerial threat in coordination with various security agencies. Also, Airborne Warning and Control Systems are being deployed to keep an eye on any movement in the northern parts of the country. They will continuously keep an eye on the sky while being in the air. Besides, indigenous surveillance aircraft ‘Netra’ will also carry out regular surveillance in the area.
MRSAM missile is being deployed
The air defense missile systems deployed by the Air Force to protect the Delhi airspace also include the Medium Range Surface to Air Missile (MRSAM). It can hit targets from a distance of 70-80 kilometers.
