The pandal of Lalbaugcha Raja of Mumbai is considered to be the most prosperous. The Ganpati idol of GSB Seva Mandal pandal in Mumbai has been insured for Rs 360.40 crore this year.
Insurance worth Rs 316 crores
This year is the 69th year of public Ganeshotsav. Last year, GSB Seva Mandal had insured a record amount of Rs 316.40 crore. There has been an increase of Rs 44 crore this year. GSB Seva Mandal has installed the idol of Lord Ganesha decorated with 69 kg gold and 336 kg silver. Mandal trustee and spokesperson Amit D Pai said that the insurance of our Ganesh Mandal is comprehensive. All risks are covered in this, which also includes insurance of Rs 30 crore for the devotees. Crores of rupees are spent on the famous Ganesh pandals. This is the reason why Ganesh Mandal also provides their insurance.
