“Give Rs. 1 crore to the family of Anna Road accident victim’- MLA’s demand
Usilambatti MLA Ayyappan has insisted that the family of Padmabriya from Usilambatti, who died in the accident while demolishing the building in Chennai, should be given a compensation of one crore rupees.
During the demolition of an old building on Anna Road in Chennai, Padmapriya, an employee of a software company from Usilampatti, who was walking on the road, died tragically. Padma Priya from Usilampatti, who died in an accident while demolishing a building without any protection, has yet to receive due compensation. Tamil NaduUsilambatti MLA Ayyappan has accused the government of not notifying and arresting the people involved.
He also requested that the government of Tamil Nadu should provide one crore rupees as compensation to the bereaved family of Padmapriya as soon as possible and provide a government job to one of the family members.
He further said, “I request the Tamil Nadu government to conduct a proper investigation into this accident and take measures to prevent such unnecessary loss of human life again.” Later, he said, “On behalf of Annan OBS and on my behalf as a member of the assembly constituency, I express my deepest condolences to the family of Padma Priya who is bereaved.”
