A fall in gold and silver is seen today in the international market and the effect of this is seen on the domestic futures market as well. June gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) today fell by Rs 333 to Rs 59,916 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, MCX silver July futures were trading down by Rs 383 to Rs 72,366 per kg.
Note that June gold futures on MCX closed at Rs 60,241 per 10 grams in the previous trading session. While silver July futures settled at Rs 72,366 per kg. Note that the price of gold varies from state to state based on certain parameters like excise duty, making charges and state taxes in the domestic market.
Gold and silver rates in the world market
Today, the gold price is showing weakness in the international market. Spot gold was trading down $7.04 an ounce at $1,962.75, while spot silver was down $0.06 at $23.54 an ounce. Gold prices fell on Tuesday.
Gold-Silver price per tola in Mumbai
According to prices published on the GoodReturns website, buyers will have to pay Rs 56,290 for 22 carat gold and Rs 75,000 for silver per kg in the country’s financial capital Mumbai today.
