Guard injured in landmine blast! – Dinamani
A Chhattisgarh Army guard was injured in a landmine blast in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.
Police have confirmed that the Naxalites were involved in the landmine attack. Police IG Sundarraj spoke about the incident.
He said, “The accident happened at 11 am. The incident took place when the 8th Battalion of the Chhattisgarh Army was on patrol in the village of Pandemurka within the Nelsnar police precinct. Soldiers on patrol surrounded the Nelsner area for an operation. The bomber struck shortly after noon as guard Ramnath Maurya stepped on a landmine. Policeman Ramnath sustained serious injuries in the accident. He was immediately taken to a primary health center in Nelsner. He was later rushed to a hospital in Tandivada district. Work is also underway to determine if there are any other landmines planted at the crash site. ”
