Heavy cost to use 5G service, cost of existing 4G plans will also go up! Vodafone Idea said

5g-service-will-be-expensive-in-India-4g-rate-price-rise-again-said-vi-Vodafone-Idea

The long wait of the vast population of the country for 5G (5G) network is expected to end soon. Because recently it is known that Airtel is going to launch 5G service in this month i.e. August. On the other hand, Jio has announced the launch of 5G on the ‘Amrita Mohotsava’ of Independence. As a result, it is very clear that ‘rocket’ speed network services will not take much time to reach the masses of the country! But how much money to spend to enjoy high speed internet speed is now a question on almost everyone’s mind. At that time, the third largest telecom company in the country, Vodafone Idea (Vodafone Idea) or Vi (VI) has given some important information in this regard and has removed the curiosity of the users.

5G will be more expensive than 4G

Last Thursday, Vodafone Idea Managing Director and CEO Ravinder Takkar highlighted several key issues related to 5G network pricing and spectrum. Customers will have to spend more than 4G if they want to use the next-generation network, he said. However, he also confirmed that users will enjoy 5G services much more than 4G even though it will come at a premium price.

5G services are going to be expensive as the cost of purchasing spectrum is high

Takkar cited several other reasons behind the higher cost of 5G network compared to 4G, apart from better service quality. He said the company had to spend a lot of money to buy 5G spectrum, which would bring 5G services at a premium price. Not only this, he also indicated that the prices of all existing tariff plans will increase by the end of this year. Incidentally, Vodafone Idea has purchased 3300 MHz (mid band) spectrum for 17 cities and 26 GHz band spectrum for 16 circles at a total cost of Rs 18,800 crore. Besides, VI has acquired several 4G spectrums in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Punjab. However, the company will have to pay an annual installment of Rs 1,680 crore for the new spectrum.

4G plan prices may increase further

As mentioned earlier, Ravindra Takkar said that the prices of all tariff plans will increase by the end of this year, which is causing great concern to users. Because by the end of last year all the telecom companies have increased the prices of their recharge plans by 20%-25% which has created a strong backlash on the forehead of the middle class. Needless to say, the recent tariff hike signals a further increase in this fold. Incidentally, till now the telecom companies have not increased the price of any plan in this way. As a result Mr. Based on Takkar’s wording, it is believed that the price of 4G tariff will increase only when the 5G plan is launched.
