It has been revealed that hidden cameras were installed in the bathroom of the girls’ hostel of a college in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
According to media reports, students of an engineering college in Andhra Pradesh protested after a hidden camera was allegedly found in the girls’ hostel bathroom.
Sources claimed that videos of female students were secretly taken from the camera, which were leaked and sold by a senior student of the same high school, while 300 videos of the girls were also recovered from his laptop.
The incident took place in the girls’ hostel at the SR Gudlavelryu Engineering College in Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district. After which the students made a protest demanding justice and protection, on which the administration promised immediate action.
The incident is being investigated by the police and local authorities and probably strict action will be taken against the accused.
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has ordered an inquiry into students’ concerns about the presence of hidden cameras in the hostel.
