A British Indian woman who made more than £500,000 by claiming refunds on items she bought on an industrial scale has been convicted of multiple counts of fraud. Narinder Kaur, 53, from Claverton in Wiltshire, was convicted on all 26 counts, including fraud, possessing and transferring criminal property and perverting the course of justice, Sky News reported.
Between July 2015 and February 2019, Narinder Kaur, also known as Nina Tiara, targeted several branches of the chain, including Boots, Monsoon, House of Fraser and Homesense, targeting over a thousand different retailers. Traveled across the UK, cheating bars.
Police recovered £150,000 and a number of stolen goods from his house following a search. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said Narinder Kaur had multiple bank and credit card accounts and made shoplifting her full-time career.
