Imran Khan’s U-turn, offers to take back words against judges


Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has offered to withdraw the words related to female judge Zeba Chaudhry. He has submitted his reply in the contempt of court case.

This reply on behalf of Imran Khan has been submitted by Advocate Hamid Khan. However, Imran Khan did not apologize for the contempt of court show cause notice. The submitted answer says to be willing to retract if my words are inappropriate. Imran Khan does not believe in suppressing the feelings of judges.

In the reply, it has been said that the court should examine Imran Khan’s speech with its context and lessons. Imran Khan has followed the law and constitution throughout his life and believes in an independent judiciary.

It has been requested on behalf of Imran Khan that the show cause notice of contempt of court against him should be withdrawn. It should be noted that the proceedings of the contempt of court case on the statement related to Additional Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry is under hearing in the Islamabad High Court.

On the other hand, Imran Khan has submitted an application in the Islamabad High Court to dismiss the terrorism case. In the petition, it has been requested that the case registered on August 20 in the Margalla police station under the provisions of the Terrorism Act be dismissed.

It has been said in the petition that the proceedings on the FIR should be suspended and the investigation ordered to be stopped till the decision on the dismissal petition. Imran Khan submitted the application through Shoaib Shaheen Advocate, Barrister Salman Safdar and Faisal Chaudhary Advocate.
